SOLRAD-7B was the eighth solar X-Ray monitoring satellite of the SOLRAD series, it carried a device for the detection and measurement of solar radiation. Some satellites of the series were equipped with intelligence payloads by the GRAB project to detect signals from foreign radar and communications.
